Sabic has tied up with the National University of Singapore to develop materials that will enable more sustainable product solutions. The Master Research Agreement signed it will enable the petrochemical giant to leverage the technical expertise and multi-disciplinary capabilities of NUS while Sabic's global presence, technological innovation and understanding of global markets will allow the university to strengthen its research efforts in addressing key global challenges. Both will come together to develop chemical processes for energy efficiency, sustainable material solutions and process equipment design. Agilent Announces Strategic Collaboration with National University of Singapore

Agilent Technologies Inc. has announced a strategic collaboration with the National University of Singapore to help researchers develop medicine to treat cardiovascular disease. The Department of Medicine at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at NUS will have access to the latest bioanalytical instruments from Agilent as part of its in-depth study of clinical bioanalytics-the body's response to drug exposure. Consideration of the patient as an individual, rather than a statistic, is where will see the next innovations in cardiovascular medicine. Dr. Drum, who is also with the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI) at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore, aims to provide real-time readouts for patients to understand the risk-benefit of commonly prescribed medications throughout the lifecycle of a drug.
National University of Singapore Announces Board Changes

THE National University of Singapore (NUS) has appointed three new members to its board of trustees. The new members - Mr. Goh Choon Phong, chief executive (CEO) of Singapore Airlines, Mr. Chaly Mah Chee Kheong, CEO of Deloitte Asia Pacific, and Mr. Ng Wai King, joint managing partner of Wong Partnership - will begin their terms on April 1, 2015. The new members will replace three outgoing board members, who step down March 31, 2015. Professor Saw Swee Hock and Mr. Paul Ma have served on the NUS board of trustees for nine years, having both been appointed to the board on April 1, 2006. Mr. Davinder Singh was on the board for three years. He joined on April 1, 2012.
