The fund is co-managed by BlackRock Advisors, LLC and BlackRock Investment Management LLC. It invests in fixed income markets of the United States. The fund primarily invests in long term municipal obligations with maturities of more than ten years. It invests in tax-exempt obligations (including bonds, notes and capital lease obligations) issued on behalf of Massachusetts not-for-profit health and education institutions.
