Apriva and Miura Systems announced their partnership and product integration. The integration will certify certify Miura’s M010 hardware to Apriva’s AprivaPay Plus mPOS application. Integrating Apriva’s AprivaPay Plus mPOS application with the Miura M010 will deliver a comprehensive Bluetooth v4.0 EMV and NFC contact-less mobile POS card reader to merchants. Miura’s proven Chip and PIN capabilities will provide merchants with the ability to accept both Chip and Signature and Chip and PIN cards, ensuring that merchants will be able to accept the next generation of payments, while Apriva’s any-to-any connections provide the most comprehensive network of payment partners available in the U.S. This will provide merchants with the ability to choose the partners for payment acceptance that make the most sense for their business. Additionally AprivaPay Plus comes with a Merchant Portal that enables merchants to track and manage inventory, run and export sales and tax reports, create users, and open customer support tickets while on the go. AprivaPay Plus is a white-labeled mobile point of sale application that turns an Apple or Android device into a mobile point of sale. This streamlined application is ideal for small and mid-sized merchants, and can be used in any number of venues — storefront or mobile. Utilized by three of the nation’s top five banks, AprivaPay Plus delivers highly sophisticated analytics capabilities to brands, enhanced reporting features to merchants via an online web companion portal, iPhone 6/iOS8 compatibility and compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations. Miura’s M010 is a Chip and PIN card reader which comes with Bluetooth connectivity allowing it to work with a smartphone, tablet and other Bluetooth enabled devices. The M010 device is compatible with a range of peripherals including cash drawers, receipt printers, barcode readers, cradles and wraparounds, making it a viable option to replace traditional countertop POS systems. The device can operate in a fixed (USB connected) or indeed mobile mode whilst paired to a mobile device or a bespoke tablet wraparound.
Apriva Enables Government Employees and Contractors to Access Sensitive Information on Tablets with New Bluetooth Smart Card Reader

Apriva announced the release of their BT200Z Bluetooth® Apriva Smart Card Reader (SCR) and support for Windows 8.1 64-bit OS based devices. The BT200Z smart card reader will maintain all the functionality of the BT200 and BT200-T and expands the use of the product to mobile tablets, enabling secure mobile communications from a new class of devices. Government smart cards, commonly referred to as Common Access Cards (CAC) and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards, are used to identify and authenticate government employees in US government agencies and many private industries doing business with the government. These cards can be used to connect to devices via portable readers to ensure security within these organizations. The Apriva Reader is a compact, wearable, wireless Bluetooth capable smart card reader which operates with a variety of devices, enabling secure PKI authentication for mobile government business communications. The BT200Z smart card reader comes with a three year warranty and supports Windows 8.1 64-bit devices. The reader will continue to support other operating systems including Windows Mobile® and BlackBerry® 4.x and 5.x. An Android SDK is also available to integrate the reader with Android device applications. The BT200Z will begin shipping in early second quarter of 2015 and replaces the existing BT200 and BT200-T versions of the smart card reader which will no longer be sold. Support for additional versions of Windows will be available later this year.
