IPG Mediabrands announced that, effective immediately, Mat Baxter has been appointed Global Chief Executive Officer, Initiative. Jim Elms, the group's previous Global Chief Executive Officer, is named Chairman of Initiative, and takes on new responsibilities as Managing Director, Interpublic. In this role, Jim will be part of the group's efforts to drive increased collaboration between IPG Mediabrands and the broader network of Interpublic agencies. In September 2015, Mat was named Global Chief Strategy and Creative Officer, IPG Mediabrands. In this role, he led the global launch of the network's 'Dynamic By Design' positioning, brand redesign and helped launch the D100. In his new role as Chairman of Initiative, Jim Elms will continue to report to Henry Tajer. In his new IPG responsibilities, Jim will also report to Philippe Krakowsky, Chief Strategy and Talent Officer of IPG and Chairman of IPG Mediabrands.

Interpublic Group announced that Philippe Krakowsky has been named Chairman of IPG Mediabrands. In this role, Krakowsky will partner with Henry Tajer, Global CEO of IPG Mediabrands, to lead the media management company, which oversees $37 billion in global billings for its clients and has in recent years demonstrated industry leadership in its digital and programmatic capabilities. Krakowsky will continue in his corporate role as EVP, Chief Strategy and Talent Officer at Interpublic, as he supports Tajer and his senior Mediabrands management team in further building on the success of one of IPG's fastest-growing units.
