Linklaters Appoints Scott Bowie to New Role of Head of Global US Practice
Mar 12 15
Linklaters appointed Scott Bowie to new role of head of global US practice. Bowie, the head of Linklaters' investment management group (IMG) practice, has also been appointed to the firm's executive committee. He begins a four-year term as head of global US practice head effective from 2 March. Linklaters has created the role in a bid to take the current shared responsibility for the US practice from its partners. Conrado Tenaglia will remain as Linklaters' US managing partner, working from the same New York base as Bowie. Davies said Bowie's experience and 'global outlook' made him 'ideally suited to leading and developing' the firm's cross-border US practice. Bowie has led the IMG team since 2010 (30 March 2010), taking over the role from Tim Shipton, who had previously led the group since 2002, having set it up two years previously. He has represented global asset managers in his role heading up IMG, advising on complex investment funds and products and will continue to advise clients in his new position. Before joining Linklaters in 2005, Bowie was a partner at Latham & Watkins' New York and Los Angeles practices.
