BT and Daisy Announce Cloud Services Partnership

BT and Daisy Group have announced a new 6-year GBP 70 million cloud communications partnership. This will provide Daisy and its customers with access to BT's Wholesale Hosted Centrex (WHC) platform. The WHC platform provides customers with unified communications services, which are hosted in the cloud. As part of the deal, Daisy's services will be migrated to the platform over the next 18 months.

Daisy Group Secures Places on Govt. Network Services Framework

Daisy Group declared that it has secured places in 10 different lots under the UK Government's new Network Services framework agreement (RM1045). These consist of data access, local connectivity, traditional telephony, inbound telephony, IP telephony, mobile voice and data, paging, audio conferencing, video conferencing and integrated communications services.

Phoenix In Talks With Daisy Group

Toscafund Asset Management LLP and Daisy Group plc are in advanced talks to make an offer to acquire Phoenix IT Group PLC (LSE:PNX). Toscafund and Daisy might make an offer to acquire issued share capital for 160 pence per share. Daisy has confirmed to the Board of Phoenix that it has completed its due diligence and is well advanced with the finalisation of the necessary financing arrangements. Andrew Pinder, Patrick Robb, Sebastian Lawrence of Investec Bank plc acted as financial advisor to Phoenix. Anthony Gutman, Nicholas van den Arend and Chris Emmerson of Goldman Sachs International acted as financial advisor to Daisy.
