Vodafone India Invests INR 10.5 Billion in Maharashtra, Goa Circle

Vodafone India has invested over INR 10.5 billion in the development of its network, distribution and retail presence in Maharashtra and Goa circle over the past 12 months. Vodafone has expanded its network footprint by adding over 3,000 new 3G and 2G sites across Maharashtrain the last financial year. During this period, Vodafone has opened 17 Vodafone Stores and 200 Vodafone Mini Stores.

Vodafone India Limited is planning an initial publc offering (IPO) on the Indian bourses within a year and is in talks with several banks, according to media reports. According to the media reports, Vodafone India's enterprise value is approximately INR 1900 billion, after accounting for the company's debt. Responding to the speculation, Vodafone India said that it could not "comment on a potential listing of Vodafone India at this point" though it may consider an IPO "at some point in the future". Meanwhile, the ongoing INR 200 billion arbitration case remains a roadblock ahead of Vodafone India's listing and the company would only list after the resolution of the case. Vodafone India Limited is reported planning an initial publc offering (IPO) on the Indian bourses for $4 billion next fiscal year. According to the media reports, Vodafone India Limited has appointed NM Rothschild as its consultant to work on roadmap and the paperwork for the public offering will be completed by the end of ongoing financial year. When contacted, Vodafone spokesperson declined to comment.
Vodafone India Reports Earnings Results for the Fiscal Year 2015

Vodafone India reported earnings results for the fiscal year 2015. For the period, the company reported a 12.6% increase in its total revenue at INR 425,260 million for the financial year 2014-2015. Operating profit in the period stood at INR 126,050 million against INR 108,470 million in the same period last year. The capital expenditure was INR 85,980 million, mainly on new site rollout in fiscal year 2013. The net debt for the company stands at INR 478,070 million as of March 31, 2015.
