Company Overview of Scale Computing, Inc.
Scale Computing, Inc. develops scale-out clustered IT infrastructure products for small to medium-sized organizations based on intelligent clustered operating system technology. It provides hyperconverged architecture (HC3) that consists of HC3 hardware platform, a datacenter in a box that integrates storage, servers, and virtualization software into a scalable appliance based system that manages as a single server; and HyperCore Software, which is preloaded onto various HC3 nodes that continuously monitors various virtual machines, software, and hardware components to detect and automatically respond to common infrastructure events, maintain application availability, and simplify datacenter...

Scale Computing Releases HC3 HyperCore 6.0
Feb 26 15
Scale Computing said it has released HyperCore 6.0 to enhance its HC3 platform. The new release includes built-in VM level remote replication and introduces a new, streamlined user interface to make it a better fit for small- and medium-sized businesses and enterprise departments looking to overcome the barriers of implementing virtualization, and fast recovery from IT disasters. The company said its latest release features built-in remote disaster recovery to allow users to set up
continuous replication on a VM-by-VM basis between two HC3 clusters with space-efficient snapshot technology replicating to a secondary site, tracking only the blocks unique to each manual or automatic snapshot and sending the changed blocks.
Scale Computing Announces the New Release of its Patented Ultra-Easy HyperCore Software System
Oct 14 14
Scale Computing announced the new release of its patented Ultra-Easy HyperCore Software(TM) system, which expands the capabilities of its HC3 family to provide greater scalability and storage computing power. HyperCore integrates storage, servers, and virtualization software into an all-in-one appliance based system that is scalable, self-healing and as easy to manage as a single server. HyperCore continuously monitors all virtual machines, software and hardware components to detect and automatically respond to common infrastructure events, maintain application availability and simplify datacenter management. HyperCore v5 introduces the following features: Non-Disruptive/Rolling Updates - HC3 clusters can be upgraded with no downtime or maintenance window. Workloads are automatically live-migrated across the HC3 appliance to allow for node upgrades, even if such an upgrade requires a node-reboot. Workloads are then returned to the node after the upgrade is complete. VM-level Snapshots - Near-instant VM-level snapshots are now available. Scale Computing's proprietary Allocate-on-Write technology allows for no disruption at the time of the snapshot, no duplication of data, and no performance degradation even with thousands of snapshots per VM. A snapshot can be simply 'cloned' to start a VM while still maintaining the integrity of other snapshots both upstream and downstream from the cloned snapshot. VM 'Thin' Cloning - Enables the user to take a space efficient approach to cloning a VM. Thin clones are immediately bootable, and are similarly unduplicated using the Allocate-on-Write technology. Import/Export VMs to Remote File Server - Export allows the user to export VMs to an external server for a full VM backup /archive with a single click. Import allows the operator to fully recreate a VM and virtual disks from a remote server. Higher Capacity Systems - HyperCore was optimized to support new HC3 nodes with 2x VM density by doubling the I/O performance, CPU and memory resources per node. All HC3 systems are highly available and include built-in unified management. The result is a data center solution designed to help mid-to-large size companies seamlessly scale their infrastructure simply and cost-effectively. HC3 models 1000, 2000 and 4000 are all available now. Pricing for an HC3 three-node system starts at $25,499.
