Bonnier Reportedly Not Interested In Acquiring Svenska Dagbladet.
Oct 31 14
Bonnier AB is rumoured to have turned down an opportunity to acquire Svenska Dagbladet Annons AB. According to newspaper sources, discussions last autumn stranded as Bonnier could not agree with Schibsted on a suitable price. Gunilla Herlitz at Bonnier News says Bonnier has today no interest at all in acquiring Svenska. One of the reasons Bonnier rejected a deal was the uncertain economic future for Svenska, where Bonnier wanted Schibsted to pay Bonnier for taking control of Svenska while Schibsted wanted Bonnier to pay to acquire the business.
