Power Assure, Inc. Adds Application Performance Monitoring to its ServiceNow Integrated EM/5 Solution
Jun 12 14
Power Assure, Inc. unveiled Application Performance Monitoring in EM/5, its next generation monitoring solution featuring certified integration with ServiceNow. EM/5 is a massively scalable, true multi-tenant, hosted data center monitoring solution. It brings real-time and historical IT, facilities, and now application metrics into the ServiceNow environment, tracking key application performance indicators such as response time, throughput and transaction counts, enabling businesses to track all tiers of the application environment. Power Assure EM/5's new Application Performance Monitoring capabilities offer great insight by helping identify issues across the application stack, allowing correlation of application and device metrics with business events, expediting MTTR. Armed with real-time metrics from IT and facilities as well as the newly added application performance data, IT managers will be better able to provision resources to support their enterprise applications which will ultimately drive greater revenue and profits, thus making ROI in EM/5 even bigger. In addition to the new Application Performance Monitoring capabilities, EM/5's certified integration with ServiceNow offers tremendous ease-of-use, metric aggregation, alerting, mobility and navigation. New key Application Performance Monitoring features include: Response time -- the average time taken to fulfill user requests has a direct impact on user satisfaction. Slow applications frustrate users and lead to lower revenues. With EM/5, extended response times are immediately identified and can be correlated with IT metrics such as CPU utilization. Transaction throughput -- the rate at which transactions such as Web hits, purchases or other events are occurring and in conjunction with response time can identify faults in back-end components such as databases. Trend analysis allows capacity planning and forecasting. Total transactions -- an absolute metric allowing activity analysis over any time period. All inclusive pricing, which follows a simple device count model and provides one year of historical data storage, starts at $12,500 per year for the first 500 devices. Power Assure EM/5 with ServiceNow integration is available immediately.
Power Assure Announces Availability of EM/5 with ServiceNow Integration
May 15 14
Power Assure, Inc. has announced the availability of EM/5, its next-generation monitoring solution featuring integration with ServiceNow. EM/5 is a complete, hosted data center monitoring solution, which brings real-time and historical metrics to ServiceNow customers, with the ability to leverage existing asset databases, dramatically cutting the time and expense traditionally experienced in deploying a Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solution. Certification by ServiceNow signifies that EM/5 has successfully completed a set of defined tests focused on integration interoperability, security and performance for ServiceNow. In addition to simplicity of deployment, EM/5's certified integration with ServiceNow introduced advancements in ease-of-use, metric aggregation, mobility and navigation. Key features include: ServiceNow integrated GUI; aggregations; Smartphone App; And Asset Synchronization. EM/5 presents information right in the ServiceNow user interface. For example, a simple click on a ServiceNow asset instantly displays the relevant live metrics, while an EM/5 menu section gives access to graphical map, plan and views, with features such as drill-down navigation and status indication. EM/5 allows collections of metrics from any source to be combined, displayed and stored as a stand-alone metric. Aggregations are unlimited, can be built in a hierarchy, and are ideal for chargebacks and analysis. By simply scanning the asset tag barcode of a particular device, users can immediately see its live metrics both on the smartphone and in the ServiceNow GUI. This feature delivers instant asset confirmation between data center floor, the network operations center, or elsewhere. EM/5 automatically synchronizes with ServiceNow Configuration Items, avoiding the need for manual entry or updating. Synchronization is fully configurable, both in the selection of items to be replicated and for the transform of individual fields. Customer definable templates allow common fields to be pre-populated for a given asset configuration.
