IWG plc Reports Group Financial Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2017; Provides Financial Guidance for the Remainder of 2017

IWG Plc reported group financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2017. For the quarter, the group revenues increased 9.1% to £580.7 million from £532.5 million in the corresponding period last year. At constant exchange rates this represented a 1.5% decrease. Underlying cash generation for the three months to 31 March 2017 was £33.2 million, a reduction of £23.2 million on the corresponding period in the prior year. This reflects timing factors around the quarter end date on working capital this year and, as previously reported, the specific programmers undertaken last year to unlock working capital, which resulted in first quarter 2016 in an additional inflow of approximately £20.0 million. The Group had net debt at 31 March 2017 of £173.5 million, an increase on the 31 December 2016 position of £151.3 million. Gross capital expenditure was £87.0 million and net capital expenditure was £63.4 million. Looking forward to the remainder of 2017, the company is remain confident of delivering a full year performance in line with management's expectations.
