Parallels Launches Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac

Parallels launched Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac. The release includes a new version of the software for developers, designers and power users, Parallels Desktop for Mac Pro Edition. It also includes Parallels Desktop for Mac Business Edition, previously known as the Enterprise Edition. The new editions of Parallels Desktop for Mac benefit from speed improvements of up to 50%, Travel Mode which extends battery life up to 25% while on the go, support for Windows 10 along with OS X El Capitan readiness and a host of other features for both Windows and Mac users. Parallels Desktop 11 empowers Mac users to run Windows 10 and leverage the advantages of Microsoft’s intelligent personal assistant, Cortana, when using both Windows and OS X. This is the first time that Parallels Desktop has ever made a Windows feature available for OS X applications. Parallels Desktop 11 also provides experimental support for OS X El Capitan prior to its launch, and will fully support the platform shortly after its release to give users a seamless experience with the latest OSes. Parallels Launches Parallels Access 3.0 Remote Access App and Service

Parallels introduced an update to its Parallels access app for remote access to PCs and Macs1. Launched on both iOS and Android platforms, Parallels has added large file sharing for both that requires no cloud service and wastes no time uploading files of any size, with the ability to manage everything from the desktop agent. As part of this launch, Parallels is introducing a companion app for Apple® Watch, providing users with the ability to see remote computers and initiate a connection for an even better remote experience. Parallels Access transforms mobile devices into more powerful computing machines by allowing them to remotely run any application, edit documents, and search through and access all the files on a remote computer through a universal file manager. It also allows user to use any computer with a modern web browser to access and run everything on user remote computer. Parallels Access is ideal for professionals who want to travel light, but still access all their computer files on the go, or a home user that just wants the peace of mind knowing that all of their files and photos are available with a tap or click from anywhere in the world. The unique ‘Application’ technology of Parallels Access makes desktop apps behave like native apps on tablets and phones. With an eye toward helping people play their favorite computer games from any iOS device, Parallels Access has added experimental support for Gaming Mode, empowering them to access and play games in a more interactive way.
