Vimpelcom Expands LTE Network in Moscow Region

Vimpelcom has expanded the coverage of its LTE network in the Moscow region. The network is currently accessible for 60% of residents in the region. It covers almost all of the region's large agglomerations, including Lyubertsy, Domodedovo, Ramenskoye, Korolyov, Dolgoprudny, Lytkarino, and Pavlovskiy-Posad. New base stations have been deployed in Mytishchi, Zelenograd, Odintsovo, Dedovsk, Krasnogorsk and Podolsk. The upgrade of the network has been focused on resort locations. Beeline plans to build several hundred more base stations in the region this year and to expand its LTE network by 250%.
