VimpelCom announced the launch of its 4G network in Nizhny Novgorod. Residents of the capital of Volga and nearby cities Dzerzhinsk and Bor are covered by the network, and customers with mobile internet plans will pay the same as 3G access for using LTE. The launch of 4G will bring higher speeds for customers, also on the 3G network as traffic migrates to the LTE network.

A relevant decision was made by shareholders at an extraordinary meeting on June 15, 2015.
