Vimpelcom Launches LTE Network in the City of Cherepovets in the Vologda Region

Vimpelcom has launched an LTE network in the city of Cherepovets in the Vologda region, with maximum broadband speed of 73 Mbps and average speeds of 25-30 Mbps. The services are accessible in all four residential neighbourhoods of the city. Beeline launched LTE services in the city of Vologda in December 2014.
Vimpelcom Changes its Regional Structure in the European Part of Russia; Announces Executive Changes

Vimpelcom is changing its regional structure in the European part of Russia. The Moscow, North-Western and Central macro-regional branches of the operator will be merged to form two new branches -- Western and Greater Moscow. The Greater Moscow branch will include the city and region of Moscow, as well as the Tver, Yaroslavl, Kaluga, Tula, Smolensk and Vladimir regions. The Western branch will include St Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Archangel, Murmansk, Vologda, Novgorod, Petrozavodsk, Bryansk, Lipetsk, Kursk, Belgorod and Ivanovo regional branches.
Sergey Rubtsov, the vice-president of the company and the former head of the Moscow macro-regional branch, was appointed head of the Greater Moscow branch. Yury Smagarinskiy, the former head of the Central macro-regional branch, was appointed head of the new Western branch. Andrey Kovtonyuk, the former head of the North-Western branch, has decided to leave the company. The modifications will enter into force from 1 June 2015.
Megafon Announces Contracts with VimpelCom

Megafon concluded state contracts for around RUB 500 million in the Far-East in 2014. The operator won over 500 tenders for state contracts there in 2014. Vimpelcom, working under the Beeline brand, also started providing services under state contracts for numerous institutions and establishments in the Kaliningrad region. The list includes the regional government, the regional parliament, the regional customs office, Kaliningrad state university, the Kaliningrad city municipality and other entities.
