According to sources close to the process, BNDES Participações S/A - BNDESPAR, the investment arm of Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Economico e Social is looking to sell a 6% stake in Gerdau Aços Finos Piratini to its controller Metalurgica Gerdau S.A. (BOVESPA:GOAU4). Bank BTG Pactual has agreed to keep a part of those shares in its name, since the controlling company can not legally take over that stake without launching a public offer.
