DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd Signs on Collective Agreement with Newly-Formed Employees Union

DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd signed the first collective agreement with newly-formed in-house union, DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd Employees Union. The agreement takes effect from 1 January 2015, and will remain in force for three years. The collective agreement recognises DGEU as the sole bargaining body for all eligible employees, covering all permanent employees of DiGi apart from than those with executive, managerial, confidential, and security functions. The agreement also provides the regulation of relations between DiGi and DGEU, and covers a wide range of employment terms and conditions for eligible employees.
Digi Telecommunications Expands LTE Service to Sabah

Digi Telecommunications has launched LTE services in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of the state of Sabah. Customers can acquire 4G-enabed smartphones from Digi, including the iPhone 6, as well as the Honor 6 for up to MYR 200 with the DG Smart Plan. The company plans to complete its LTE rollout for the year by upgrading its network in East Malaysia. By year-end, DiGi's LTE population coverage in Kota Kinabalu will reach 84%, and will expand to Tawau and Labuan in Sabah, and Kuching and Miri in Sarawak. In addition to Kota Kinabalu, DiGi's 4G LTE services are currently available in the Klang Valley, Penang, Kampar, Johor Bahru, Kuching and soon in Kuantan, Tawau, Labuan and Miri.
Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd Introduces MobiFi Wireless Router

DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd announced that it has introduced MobiFi, a new portable wireless router which reportedly allows users to have up to 10 different WiFi enabled devices, simultaneously connected to the internet. Available now at selected DiGi Stores, DiGi customers can own a MobiFi with easy monthly financing from as low as RMB 7 monthly together with any one of DiGi's three (3) affordable mobile broadband plans starting from RMB 25 a month. There are two new models of MobiFi devices to choose from depending on the customers' needs and requirements - a 3G MobiFi from as low as RMB 7 per month or a 4G LTE MobiFi at RMB 18 per month. Both models come with a built-in battery, wall socket charger and an in-car charger giving the best flexibility for on-the-go usage. The three new broadband plans are available either to be bundled with the MobiFi device or as a SIM-only subscription: Broadband 25 which offers 1GB of data at only RMB 25 per month, making it the most affordable broadband plan available in the market; Broadband 45 which offers 2GB of data at RMB 45 per month; and Broadband 65 offers 8GB of data at RMB 65 per month (4GB [24 hours] + 4GB [2am - 8am]).
