Suzuki Launches Celerio Hatchback in Thailand

Suzuki has introduced the Celerio hatchback in Thailand, its second eco-car in the country after the Swift, reports theNation. The car is powered by a 12-valve 998cc 3-cylinder gasoline (petrol) engine, producing 68 PS and 90 Nm of torque. The entry-level model costs THB 359,000 (USD 10,940) and comes with 5-speed manual transmission (MT), while two higher-trim versions priced between THB 439,000 and THB 488,000 feature a continuously variable transmission (CVT) offering "seamless acceleration and good fuel economy".
Thai Suzuki Motor Co., Ltd. to Introduce Six Motorcycle Models in Thailand

Thai Suzuki Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that it will introduce six motorcycle models including middle and large displacement models, and start their sales from November 2013. Currently, the company mainly produces and distributes small displacement motorcycles (110~125cm3), which are used for daily transportation. But due to the increase of income and changes in lifestyles in the recent years, demand for motorcycles with high pleasure is increasing in the Thai motorcycle market. In order to meet such demand, TSM had been importing and distributing two large displacement motorcycle models, the Hayabusa and the GSX-R1000 from Japan as CBU units. With the introduction of the six models, TSM will expand their lineup and sales. Of the six models, three models, the Burgman 125 /Burgman 200 and the GW250 will be produced and assembled at TSM's plant, and the remaining three models, the VanVan125, the Gladius 650 ABS, and the V-Strom 650 ABS will be imported from Japan as CBU units. The Burgman 125 /Burgman 200 are planned to be exported worldwide including Europe, North America, and Oceania.
Thai Suzuki Motor to Establish Pathum Thani Production Plant

Thai Suzuki Motor, the Japanese motorcycle distributor, is setting up its Pathum Thani production plant as its export hub for medium-sized motorcycles. The automaker aims to manufacture 10,000 units this year. It will produce motorcycles of 250-750cc for the first time this year as part of a THB500m investment over five years to increase annual production capacity at its plant in Thanyaburi district by 50,000 units, to 400,000 units. In 2013 the facility's production is likely to reach 290,000 units, with 120,000 for export, 100,000 for domestic sale and 70,000 in the form of marine engines exported mainly to Japan.
