easyJet and Cranfield University Enter 3-Year Strategic Partnership

easyJet has announced a 3-year strategic partnership with aviation and aerospace institution, Cranfield University. Both based in Bedfordshire, under the deal the two organizations will collaborate on projects which support each other's strategic objectives. Marking the start of the collaboration and easyJet's upcoming 20th birthday, Cranfield students have been asked to provide insight into what aviation might look like in 2035. The results of which could spark the starting point of pioneering advances and innovations to influence the next 2 decades of flying. The collaboration between the two organizations aims to build on the traditions of innovation for both the sides.

QinetiQ, partnered by Cranfield University, NSC and XPI Simulation, has won a GBP 3.6 million contract from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory to monitor and demonstrate developments in gaming, mobile devices and other commercially-available technologies. The Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Emerging Technologies Evaluation and Exploitation (CETEE) programme will identify, evaluate, integrate and exploit novel technologies to enhance the cost-effectiveness of the training and simulation opportunities received by Britain's Armed Forces.
