POSCO Engineering & Construction announced that Saudi Aramco's executive director Ahmed A. Al-Subaey who served S-Oil as CEO between 2008 and 2012 will take an advisory role for top management of POSCO E&C as the firm's vice president and a standing board member, while maintaining his status at Saudi Aramco. The other board member is ACWA Power chairman Ahmed A. Al-SubaeyMohammad A. abunayyan. As a nonexecutive board member, he will also join the management decision-making processes.

Magnis Resources Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Posco for Nachu Graphite Project in Tanzania

Magnis Resources has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Posco E&C to proceed with the funding and construction of the Nachu Graphite project in Tanzania. Based on the roles and responsibilities outlined in the MoU, Posco will have to arrange senior loans through its associations with financial institutions. Under the MoU, Magnis is responsible for arranging subordinate debt and equity and the overall co-ordination of funding for the project. With support from Posco, the company is set to advance the construction contract and funding process simultaneously. Production from the project is expected to begin by the first quarter of 2017.
