NV Energy and the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) announced that Tony Sanchez, senior vice-president, government and community strategy, is taking on a key loaned executive role with EEI in Washington, D.C. From 1992 to 1995, Sanchez served Nevada U.S. Senator Richard H. Bryan as associate legislative counsel for energy and natural resource issues in Washington, D.C. He was assistant general counsel for the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada and became executive assistant to Nevada Governor Bob Miller in 1998. Following close to 10 years with the Nevada statewide law firm of Jones Vargas, Sanchez joined NV Energy in 2007.
