Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation is planning to invest as much as PHP 2 billion ($45.6 million) in the country as it prepares to assemble an all-new Innova multi-purpose vehicle in the domestic vehicle market. The investment is expected to be routed towards increasing local content such as pressed components and parts for the all-new Innova to 40%, from the current 30%.

Toyota Motor Philippines Reports Sales Results for the Month Ended July 2014

Toyota Motor Philippines reported sales results for the month ended July 2014. For the month, the company sold 10,123 units, an increase of 65% over the year-ago period. The increase in sales is attributed to the increased demand for the Vios, which sold 2,480 units and the Innova, which sold 1,614 last year.
