TOYOTA MOTOR Philippines announced sales results for the month and first half June 2017. For the first half, the company sold 84,616 units. Year to date, the company has sold 103,000 vehicles. First-semester revenues grew 15% to PHP 82.1 billion from PHP 71.3 billion. Toyota sold 85,728 vehicles during the period, up 18%, on the strength of the Vios, Fortuner, Innova and Avanza models. Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) reported earnings results for the first half ended June 30, 2017. For the period, the company reported consolidated net income of PHP 6.4 billion. Retail sales of 85,728 vehicles, realizing an 18% year-on-year improvement. The company’s consolidated sales registered a 15.1% growth from PHP 71,266.1 million in the first half of 2016 to PHP 82,057.9 million in the first half of 2017 as wholesale volume grew by 13.6% from 74,461 units to 84,616 units. TMP retail sales volume, likewise, grew by 18.0% from 72,642 units to 85,728 units. The improvement was attributed to the continued strong sales for the Vios, Fortuner, Innova and Avanza models. Net income attributable to parent was PHP 6,332.2 million against PHP 6,816.0 million for the same period a year ago. Operating profit was PHP 7,794.3 million against PHP 8.909.5 million for the same period a year ago. Higher cost of sales due to unfavorable foreign exchange, increased sales of low margin models and increase in operating and overhead expenses resulted in a decline in gross profit, operating profit, net income margins, from 15.7%, 12.5% and 9.7% to 12.6%, 9.5% and 7.8%, respectively. As a result, consolidated net income attributable to equity holders declined by 7.1% mainly due to the aforementioned decreasing factors.

Toyota Motor Philippines announced sales results for the first quarter of 2017.
