Polyplastics plans to conduct a month-long maintenance at its 33,000 tonne/year polyacetal (POM) plant in Kuantan, Malaysia, in March or April next year. The exact dates have not been decided yet. Polyplastics plans a near-fourfold capacity increase at the Kuantan plant to 123,000 tonnes/year by 2014. The company has four production bases for POM in Asia - at Fuji, Japan; Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Nantong, China; and Kuantan, Malaysia.
