The school has named Marsha Bonhart as assistant vice president, public relations and programs. In that role she helps work with the media and public for the historically black school in Greene County. Bonhart spent years at WDTN-TV as a prominent on-air reporter and anchor.

Freeman, an educator with 40 years of experience, has served as President of Martin University, as well as Livingstone College. She replaces interim president Wilma Mishoe.

Mark Wilson, CEO of eVerifile, will now lead the Board of Trustees as Chairman of the Board, while John Miller, CEO and president of Denny's Corporation, becomes vice chairman of the Board. Miller is currently responsible for leading the strategic direction of Denny's Corporation and Wilson currently leads eVerifile.
