Airport Authority Hong Kong and Shenzhen Airport Management Company Limited Sign Cooperation Agreement Join Hands to Promote Airspace Resources Optimization

Airport Authority Hong Kong and Shenzhen Airport Management Company Limited signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation between Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZIA), aiming to synergise the development of the two airports. The agreement was signed by Fred Lam, Chief Executive Officer of the AA, and Wang Yang, President of the Shenzhen Airport Management Company Limited. The agreement outlines various areas of strengthened cooperation between HKIA and SZIA. In particular, both airports will proactively promote to concerned authorities the reformation of the Pearl River Delta (PRD) airspace in order to achieve a win-win situation by enhancing the efficiency of airspace resources allocation. Moreover, both airports will promote the establishment of a designated immigration channel at Shenzhen Bay for passengers and vehicles travelling between the two airports, and the enhancement of sea and land transport services and equipment. Both sides will also coordinate with airlines operating at both airports to develop "all-in-one ticket" products that include hotel accommodation and transportation option such as flight, ferry and coach tickets. The two airports will set up a working group to regularly review and follow up on projects proposed in the agreement. The two parties will also periodically hold seminars to share experience in marketing and internationalization of airport management.

Airport Authority Hong Kong announced that it has appointed David Au Ho-cheung as Executive Director, Property Development, with effect from 18 May 2015. Reporting to the AA's Chief Executive Officer, Fred Lam, Mr. Au will be a key member of the senior management team. In his new role, Mr. Au will oversee the AA's long-term assets and design of its commercial facilities as well as land use and property services at the airport. He worked at Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd. for more than 20 years, serving as Director of Sun Hung Kai Development (China) Ltd. and Project Director of Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd. Prior to that, he served as Senior Project Manager of Tai Cheung Holdings Ltd.
