Lyonnaise des Eaux has been has awarded the public services drinking water contract worth EUR 79 million, by the city of Calais, northern France, for a period of 12 years. The contract will take effect in February 2015.

Lyonnaise des Eaux Wins EUR 250 Million Water Supply Management Contract in Ile-De-France

Suez Environnement announced its subsidiary Lyonnaise des Eaux has been awarded a 12-year water supply management contract worth EUR 250 million (USD 309 million) in the Ile-de-France region. SMGSEVESC, the joint water management service of the Versailles and Saint-Cloud communes, has awarded the contract under which Lyonnaise des Eaux will manage the drinking water public services in 22 of the municipalities it represents, serving some 400,000 residents. The contract provides for renewed governance, enhanced water quality and intelligent technologies to support network performance. A new company, Societe des Eaux de l'Ouest Parisien, will be founded to apply new rules for management of the water service. A regulation mechanism to tighten the local authority's control will also be introduced.
