Shanghai General Motors to Unveil Verano Sports Sedan

Shanghai General Motors announced to launch the next-generation sports sedan under the Buick brand just before 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. The car, called the Verano, will debut on April 19, in Shanghai. The car has been inspired by the 2013 Buick Riviera concept. The model is part of GM's strategy to raise its presence in the mid-range vehicle segment. The car, named Wei Lang in Chinese, is aimed at raising the profile of Buick as a brand in China.

Shanghai GM and Tencent Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

Shanghai GM and Tencent signed a strategic cooperation agreement on February 6, under which Shanghai GM will cooperate with Tencent's Weixin platform, Tencent video, Tencent Games and Tencent product portfolio, to further boost its precision marketing strategy based on big data.
