Statoil UK Limited Announces Contracts for Supply Base and Warehousing Services for the Mariner Field to Asco UK Limited

Statoil UK Limited has awarded contracts for supply base and warehousing services for the Mariner field to Asco UK Limited. The supply base and warehousing facility for Mariner will be operated by Asco from Peterhead, north of Aberdeen. The scopes awarded encompass the provision of supply base services, including personnel, local transportation, marine gas oil, quayside services and a nearby warehousing facility. Asco will perform the services for the Mariner field under two five year contracts, anticipated to start during the first quarter of 2016. The contracts also include 2 x 2 year extension options. The Statoil operated Mariner field, located approximately 150 kilometers east of the Shetland Isles, is currently under development and production is scheduled to start in 2017. The development concept includes a production, drilling and quarters (PDQ) platform based on a steel jacket and a floating storage unit (FSU). Drilling will be carried out from the PDQ drilling rig, with a jack-up rig assisting for the initial years. In the period when both the PDQ and the jack-up are drilling Mariner wells, the field will require at least five sailings a week from the Peterhead supply base.

Xcite Energy Resources plc has entered into a Collaboration Agreement with Statoil (U.K.) Ltd. and EnQuest Heather Limited, in order to share field-specific technical and operational information to evaluate the potential utilisation of common gas import infrastructure between the Kraken, Bentley and Bressay fields. A joint XER, Statoil and EnQuest team will work together to analyse the current available information and develop a number of proposals to assess the potential benefits of installing a shared gas import pipeline in conjunction with the development of the Kraken, Bentley and Bressay fields.

Xcite Energy announced that Xcite Energy Resources Ltd. (XER) has entered into a Collaboration Agreement with Statoil (U.K.) Ltd. (Statoil) and Shell U.K. Ltd. (Shell), which allows all the Parties to make available and share field- specific technical and operational information for the evaluation of potential synergies and collaboration between the Bentley and Bressay Fields. A joint XER, Statoil and Shell team will work together to analyse the current available information and develop a number of proposals for assessment, including the potential utilisation of common infrastructure, assets and operational solutions during the phased development of the Bentley Field and the future development of the Bressay Field. XER believes that collaboration in a number of key areas, along with a coordinated approach to an area development, will realise a number of mutual opportunities which have the potential to benefit all stakeholders.
