Telekom Deutschland Gmbh Announces Executive Appointments

Telekom Deutschland GmbH announced that Ferri Abolhassan, currently responsible for the IT Division and for setting up Telekom Security at T-Systems International GmbH, Deutsche Telekom's corporate customer arm, will take on the newly created position of Director of Service Transformation at Telekom Deutschland GmbH effective October 1, 2016. There will be a further change in the role of Director of Technology. Bruno Jacobfeuerborn will take over as Managing Director of Deutsche Funkturm GmbH and will additionally transfer to the newly created Technology and Innovation Board department as Chief Technology Officer, both effective January 1, 2017. His successor as Head of Technology at Telekom Deutschland will be announced shortly.

Telekom Deutschland Reorganizes Marketing and Sales Divisions

Telekom Deutschland announced it is making changes to its business organization, turning the old marketing and sales divisions into private customer and business customer divisions. Michael Hagspihl will be in charge of retail clients and Hagen Rickmann will be responsible for enterprise clients. The aim is to respond better to specific customer requirements.

Telekom Deutschland Reports Earnings Results for the Fourth Quarter of 2014

Telekom Deutschland reported earnings results for the fourth quarter of 2014. For the period, revenues were up 1.6% from a year earlier to EUR 5.72 billion. Adjusted EBITDA still fell 1.3% to EUR 2.00 billion, due to extra costs for launching the new MagentaEINS fixed-mobile plans and marketing campaign and higher smartphone sales. The revenue growth was led by the mobile segment, where service revenues rose 1.8% year-on-year in fourth quarter.
