AIG Malaysia Insurance Berhad may look at acquisition opportunities. CEO Antony Lee told The Malaysian Reserve that the company does not rule out the possibility of mergers and acquisitions (M&As) if opportunities arise. He stated: "We are interested in M&A and we are ready to look at opportunities. M&A is like a marriage. We need to have both hearts willing to commit and have synergy together. If we could synergize both sides definitely we could commit to an investment." He stressed there is no immediate need for M&A now unless opportunity comes by.

AIG Malaysia Insurance Bhd has introduced a new insurance plan for those aged between 75 and 85 years old. The AIG Injury Guard offers a wide selection of plans catering to any budget with premiums starting from as low as 93 sen a day for a coverage of up to MYR 500,000. The insurance plan covers a broad scope of injuries, including broken bones, dislocation and inter-nal injuries, that standard personal accident insurance policies may not cover. AIG Injury Guard is a pure personal accident policy that differs from medical insurance policies, which cover hospitalisation for both accidents and illnesses.
