iRise Unveils Fast Prototyping Service Offering
Sep 29 15
iRise is launching a service to turn a rough idea or ambiguous specification document into an interactive, data-driven prototype that can be tested in the cloud with real users. A consultant from iRise’s team of product definition experts will review the documentation, then contact the client to clarify any ambiguous requirements. The consultant will create an interactive prototype, without code, using the iRise requirements definition and prototyping platform, and then publish it securely to the cloud for review. Once the design is finalized, using iRise’s code generation capabilities, the prototype can be converted in minutes into functional, stand-alone HTML that can be used as the starting point by the client’s development team. iRise Express: accelerates time-to-market for new apps, and thus extends their competitive advantage; quickly validates ideas and business requirements to ensure the first version of the application is the right version; lets current and potential users, investors, and employees test-drive an interactive prototype of an envisioned mobile app, web application, or interactive user interface long before development begins; helps secure budget or investment funding for new initiatives; and allows stakeholders to stay focused on quickly defining the best app, instead of mastering new design and development tools. The iRise Express service is being launched with the introductory price of $995 for the next 3 months, and is regularly priced at $1,995.
iRise Announces the Launch of iRise 10.5
Sep 15 15
iRise announced the launch of iRise 10.5. This new release broadens the ability to integrate iRise’s advanced product definition capabilities into the rest of the application development lifecycle, allowing artifacts to be visible and consumable in tools used later in the software development process. The Agile and DevOps movements have made strides in streamlining the process of coding software and delivering it into production for large enterprises—but designs and requirements have remained largely disconnected, stifling collaboration, slowing product delivery and undercutting product quality. iRise 10.5, via its recent partnership with ALM integrator Tasktop, addresses this by connecting all elements required in the product lifecycle, including functional and non-functional requirements, designs, diagrams, epics and user stories into a comprehensive view. iRise 10.5 connects to ALM tools, including Rally, Atlassian JIRA, HP, IBM, Microsoft TFS, Jama, VersionOne, ThoughtWorks Mingle and Blueprint. The result will be a smoother, faster design and development process that is truly end-to-end. iRise’s collaborative platform enables product managers and business stakeholders to use interactive diagrams and prototypes to elicit, communicate and validate requirements and to elaborate user stories. The platform supports a wide range of target platfoms—from mobile, web and desktop apps to kiosk and appliance user interfaces—and scales from small teams to globally distributed enterprises. iRise is offered in the cloud, but also available in on-prem and via private cloud for customers with stringent regulatory requirements. iRise SaaS customers can also take advantage of new features and usability enhancements that are automatically deployed every two weeks. iRise 10.5 also includes the ability to upload screenshots or mockups and add hotspots to create interactive prototypes in seconds, as well as customer defined requirement and story attributes such as target release, priority and story points. The new release extends the platform’s lightweight diagramming functionality and includes a completely new version of iRise’s iOS mobile application that allows reviewing and commenting on designs—on device.
Tasktop and iRise Announce OEM Partnership
Jun 25 15
Tasktop and iRise announced an OEM partnership that brings together two market-leading tools that enable product owners, requirements professionals and development teams to collaborate more effectively on user stories, requirements, designs and tests. Under the agreement, Tasktop will add iRise to the Tasktop Sync ecosystem, and iRise will resell and provide primary support and deployment services for the OEM version of the integration product. This new capability will provide seamless bi-directional integration between iRise’s Enterprise Visualization Platform and leading agile planning and management tools, as well as the leading requirements management suites, including Atlassian, HP, IBM, Jama, Rally, and VersionOne. Tasktop’s Sync integration network includes a range of software development and delivery lifecycle tools that go beyond traditional areas of application lifecycle management (ALM), to include portfolio planning (PPM) and service management tools (ITSM), among others. iRise’s collaborative visualization platform enables product owners and business stakeholders to use interactive diagrams and prototypes to elicit, communicate and validate requirements and user stories. Their platform supports a wide range of visualizations—from mobile, web and desktop apps to kiosk and appliance user interfaces—and scales from small teams to globally distributed enterprises.
