Learning House Plans To Acquire Software Craftsmanship Guild

The Learning House, Inc. plans to acquire the Software Craftsmanship Guild. "We felt like this would accelerate our plans into the technology education arena," Todd Zipper, president and Chief Executive Officer of Learning House, said in an interview. Zipper declined to disclose the value of the deal, but expects it to be finalized in the next few weeks. The Software Craftsmanship Guild will be rebranded to be called the Software Guild. Most of its employees will join Learning House but will remain in Akron, Ohio, where the company is based.

The Learning House Inc. has restructured its leadership team and replaced its top executive. As part of the restructuring, Learning House president and CEO David Richardson will become chairman of the Learning House board of directors. John Anderson will be the company's senior vice president of account management and sales. Zipper joined The Learning House as executive vice president and chief marketing officer in 2011. Lintner has been with the company since 2008, serving most recently as vice president of finance. And Anderson joined the company in June 2012 as vice president of client relations.
