Prior to joining City National, Kallingal worked at Mechanics Bank in Northern California for 14 years, where he held the position of senior vice president and division manager of the business banking group. City National Corporation reported financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2014. The company reported that net income available to common shareholders for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014 was $64.56 million, or $1.15 per diluted share, compared to $61.23 million, or $1.10 per diluted share, for the same quarter ended September 30, 2013. Net interest income for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014 was $215.78 million, compared to $214.27 million for the same quarter ended September 30, 2013.
