Skyline Communications Announces Management Appointments

Skyline Communications has appointed new executives to the roles of chief executive officer (CEO), chief technical officer (CTO) and chief financial officer (CFO), along with several other appointments. Ben Vandenberghe takes the helm as CEO, having focused mainly on sales, marketing and product management for broadcast, satellite, cable, telco and mobile ecosystems at Skyline for more than 15 years. Bert Vandenberghe, who laid the foundation for the company's DataMiner software platform, is now CTO. He previously served as software Research and Development (R&D) director for more than 10 years. Frederik Vandenberghe has been appointed as CFO, having worked as finance and operations director since 2010. He guided Skyline's building of a new headquarter facilities Izegem, Belgium and the establishment of permanent regional presences in Moscow, London, New York, Miami and Bogota. Skyline also appointed seven other directors to different leadership positions within the company.
Deutsche Telekom Uses DataMiner Platform to Manage Entertain Headends

Deutsche Telekom has deployed the DataMiner multi-vendor network management platform from Skyline Communications for the end-to-end management of its Entertain TV headends in Usingen and Ismaning. This deployment fits with Deutsche Telekom's strategy of moving away from legacy management platforms towards an open-architecture, independent end-to-end multi-vendor network management platform.
