Omnicom Media Group has appointed Anil Jayachandran as head of communications planning in Malaysia. In his new role, Jayachandran will be working on key client accounts across OMD and PHD to drive thought leadership and best strategy practices. Jayachandran brings with him a diverse skillset on board, with over two decades of experience working across marketing, advertising, and research functions in strategy-related roles, including tenures at the likes of JWT, Unilever, Lintas, Ogilvy & Mather, McCann Erickson and Omnicom Group. He joins the Omnicom Media Group team from his role as strategy planning director at Leo Burnett. Jayachandran reports to Vogiatzakis in his new role, and his position is effective immediately.

OMNICOM MEDIA Group has announced a change in leadership in one of their rapidly growing markets in Asia Pacific - The Philippines. Nicanor Gabunada, Jr. has stepped down from his position as Omnicom Media Group's current chief executive officer (CEO) to pursue another opportunity in the industry. He will be replaced by Mary Buenaventura effective May 1. In her new role, Ms. Buenaventura is charged with the leadership of all Omnicom Media Group assets in Philippines, working alongside the senior management team and leads for OMD, PHD and M2M. Ms. Buenaventura will report to Jasmin Sohrabji, CEO for Omnicom Media Group, SEA and India. Ms. Buenaventura joins Omnicom Media Group from Y&R Philippines, where she held the post of CEO/President for the last 13 years. Mary set-up Y&R Philippines' in-house integrated marketing communications capabilities, the first for Y&R's Asian network and Wunderman - WPP's digital and CRM agency.
