Sita Wins Deal for CUPPS CUSS Infrastructure in Stuttgart

German airport Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH announced that the company has awarded a contract to Sita for creation and rental of a CUPPS CUSS infrastructure. The final value of the deal was not disclosed. CUPPS, or Common Use Passenger Processing Systems, is a rewrite of CUTE (Common Use Terminal Equipment) standard for passenger check-in and boarding. CUPPS was developed in 2010. CUSS, or Common Use Self Service, is a kiosk application. The CUPPS CUSS infrastructure is in accordance with IATA RP 1797 and IATA RP 1706.
Beijing Capital International Airport Chooses SITA for Passenger Processing

Beijing Capital International Airport, has chosen SITA to provide its passenger processing technology to manage its more than 80 million passengers. In this four-year, multi-million dollar contract, SITAs common-use technology, AirportConnect Open, will enable 700 work stations, more than 1,000 ticket or bag tag printers, nearly 300 scanners, more than 200 counters and 100 boarding gates in terminals 2 and 3 to be used by the airlines operating at the airport. SITA AirportConnect Open helps the airport to operate and manage its resources efficiently to provide high quality service to more than 80 airlines. The common-use passenger processing technology complies with all the international standards set by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and allows any airline to use any agent desk, gate position or self-service kiosk for passenger check-in and bag drop, and reconciles passengers boarded. More than 70% of the airports around the world that use common-use systems use SITAs technology.
Turkish Airlines Selects SITA to Provide Telecommunications Services

Turkish Airlines selected SITA to provide telecommunications services for 120 outstations around the world in a multi-million dollar renewal deal. SITA will act as the airlines sole network services provider globally for seven more years, connecting the airlines outstations, departure control systems and passenger service systems to facilitate efficient passenger processing and on-time departures. Turkish Airlines will also benefit from Express IP and SITAs Integrated Performance Reporting Service, a single intelligent monitoring tool, which will allow the airline to see all its networks at the same time. All network services will be fully supported by SITAs global customer service team, which includes more than 2,000 dedicated aviation IT specialists and engineers in over 200 countries and territories.
