BNY Mellon Asset Management Announces Management Changes

BNY Mellon Asset Management has hired Fergus McCarthy from Investec Asset Management as head of advisory, as it restructures its management team after the recent exit of Scott Goodsir, Investment Week understands. Goodsir was head of UK wholesale at BNY Mellon until he left in Skandia as head of UK distribution. McCarthy has taken the advisory role, with the head of discretionary role likely to go to an internal candidate. McCarthy has been a sales director covering strategic partnerships at Investec for the last two years, having joined the group from a sales role at Martin Currie. He was also previously at AXA Investment Managers, initially as head of broker support and then as retail marketing manager.
