The National Restaurant Association Appoints John Lehmann as a Director of Member Engagement Programs

The National Restaurant Association announced the expansion of its membership team with the addition of John Lehmann serving as Director of Member Engagement Programs. In his new role, Lehmann is responsible for the strategic direction, implementation and coordination of NRAs Executive Study Groups, Industry Councils, Restaurant Innovation Summit and multiple industry-wide programs. Lehmann also will conduct outreach with the Associations membership, develop relationships with key member industry leaders and grow sponsorship opportunities. Prior to joining the Association, Lehmann was the Director of Member Value for the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association. He also served as Senior Channel Marketing Manager for Unilever Food Solutions and as Vice President of Purchasing and Marketing for a California franchisee of Applebees, Millies Restaurants and RandM Foodservices in California.

National Restaurant Association Names Brendan Flanagan as Vice President of State Restaurant Association Relations

The National Restaurant Association has named Brendan Flanagan as Vice President of State Restaurant Association Relations. In his new role, Flanagan will lead and manage enterprise-wide relations with the State Restaurant Associations (SRAs). He previously oversaw the Associations state and local legislative affairs. As VP of State Restaurant Association Relations, Flanagan will serve as the primary contact for all enterprise-wide interactions with SRAs; work closely with state restaurant association executives on statewide policy matters; and drive the integration and coordination of all NRA-SRA activities. In addition to previously overseeing state and local legislative affairs, Flanagan also served as Vice President of Federal Relations and also previously served as lobbyist for the Restaurant Association of Maryland.
