Inbrands Up For Sale

Inbrands S.A., controlled by NABR Investimentos S.A. and Vinci Partners is up for sale. Alpargatas SA (BOVESPA:ALPA4) is interested in buring Inbrands, people close to the situation said. Inbrands declined to comment and Alpargatas denied interest in Inbrands or any negotiations, Valor International reported. BTG Pactual has been hired to handle sale.

Inbrands S.A. intends to pursue acquisitions. Inbrands plans to acquire a new brand in 2015, as part of a long-term expansion by the company. Inbrands President Michael Sarkis said in an interview with Valor that the acquisition of a new brand will help the company dilute general and administrative expenses, aside from contributing to accelerate growth of revenues and profits. “Inbrands will act on two avenues in 2015; one aimed at organic growth and another at the acquisition of a new brand," he said. Inbrands will target midsize casual brand focused on high-end consumers in the A and B income categories.
Inbrands Seeks Financing

Inbrands S.A. seeks financing worth BRL 500 million and BRL 600 million in new capital in 2014 to support a new cycle of acquisitions, after having spent two years without making new deals. Chief Executive Officer Michel Sarkis said it’s not yet decided how the proceeds will be raised. It can be a capital injection from current shareholders or an IPO, a plan the company considered but didn’t go through in 2011.
