Inbrands Up For Sale

Inbrands S.A., controlled by NABR Investimentos S.A. and Vinci Partners is up for sale. Alpargatas SA (BOVESPA:ALPA4) is interested in buring Inbrands, people close to the situation said. Inbrands declined to comment and Alpargatas denied interest in Inbrands or any negotiations, Valor International reported. BTG Pactual has been hired to handle sale.
Inbrands Mulls Acquisitions

Inbrands S.A. intends to pursue acquisitions. Inbrands plans to acquire a new brand in 2015, as part of a long-term expansion by the company. Inbrands President Michael Sarkis said in an interview with Valor that the acquisition of a new brand will help the company dilute general and administrative expenses, aside from contributing to accelerate growth of revenues and profits. “Inbrands will act on two avenues in 2015; one aimed at organic growth and another at the acquisition of a new brand," he said. Inbrands will target midsize casual brand focused on high-end consumers in the A and B income categories.
