Edmund Optics Offers TECHSPEC Variable Magnification Telecentric Lenses
Oct 30 14
Edmund Optics offered its TECHSPEC Variable Magnification Telecentric Lenses. Featuring a telecentric design throughout their entire magnification range, these versatile lenses offer a compact, cost-effective solution for replacing standard fixed focal length lenses. TECHSPEC Variable Magnification Telecentric Lenses are available in 0.5X - 1.0X and 1.0X - 3.0X options and feature resolutions of >20% at 75 lp/mm across fields of view ranging from 2.93 to 17.96mm.With a selectable field of view, these lenses provide the exact field of view required to meet the needs of a specific application in a single lens design. An adjustable iris allows for depth of field control for excellent flexibility in a wide variety of gauging and measurement applications. Lenses provide low distortion images: TECHSPEC Variable Magnification Telecentric Lenses offer outstanding image quality with less distortion than conventional fixed focal length lenses. They feature a compact, C-mount compatible design with 2/3 inch sensor coverage to ease system integration. These adjustable f/6 lenses exhibit typical telecentricity of <0.1° and distortion of <0.1% at 588 nm. The low distortion images that are provided combined with the ease of field of view adjustments make these lenses an ideal choice for semiconductor or electronics inspection and factory automation. TECHSPEC Variable Magnification Telecentric Lenses are in-stock and available for immediate delivery for fast turnaround and excellent value.
Edmund Optics Introduces its New TECHSPEC® Convex Mirrors
Dec 11 13
Edmund Optics introduced its new TECHSPEC® Convex Mirrors. These optical mirrors create virtual, upright images and are ideal for use in a wide variety of optical systems. TECHSPEC Convex Mirrors are the perfect tool to expand an imaging system's field of view without introducing chromatic aberrations. The optical mirrors feature a precision polished surface with a 1/2? surface accuracy to maintain excellent image quality. Available in 44 models with focal lengths from 12.5 mm to 200 mm. TECHSPEC Convex Mirrors are available in 44 models, with focal lengths of 12.5 mm, 25 mm, 50 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm, and 200 mm in 25 mm or 50 mm diameter sizes, with an enhanced aluminum, protected aluminum, protected gold or protected silver coating. Shorter focal lengths produce wider fields of view, while longer focal lengths minimize distortion. TECHSPEC Convex Mirrorsare in-stock and available for immediate delivery for fast turnaround and excellent value.
Edmund Optics Introduces New Polymer Waveplates (Retarders)
Aug 8 13
Edmund Optics introduced new Polymer Waveplates (Retarders). Designed for transmitting light while modifying its optical polarization state, these versatile Polymer Waveplate (Retarders) do not attenuate, deviate or displace the beam. Polymer Waveplates (Retarders) offer an extremely durable, low-cost alternative to quartz waveplates. They feature a thin birefringent polymer film that is layered between two glass windows, which increases durability and ease of handling. Available in ¼? and ½? retardance, Polymer Waveplates (Retarders) are specifically designed to act as true zero order waveplates - they provide excellent angular field of view and lower sensitivity to incidence angles than comparable quartz waveplates. They offer impressively stable performance over wavelength shift and wide angles of incidence. Multiple wavelengths or achromatic designs available. Polymer Waveplates (Retarders) are available with multiple wavelengths or achromatic designs and identify the fast axis, marked on the edge of the glass, for convenience and ease of use. Models are available in 405 nm, 488 nm, 532 nm, 560 nm, 633 nm and 650 nm wavelengths in ¼ wave or ½ wave varieties. A ¼ wave Polymer Achromatic Waveplate offers a 450-600 nm wavelength range. Polymer Waveplates (Retarders) are in-stock and available for immediate delivery for fast turnaround and excellent value.
