Irving Place Capital Management LP named former Emerson Electric Co. executive Walter J. Galvin as senior adviser. Galvin will work with the company's principals to implement value creation strategies at portfolio companies and pursue new investments in the industrial and packaging realm. At Emerson, he served in a variety of senior roles, including chief financial officer. He retired as director and vice chairman in February 2013. Galvin is currently on the board of Ameren Corp., Aegion Corp. and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Cardoso was formerly Chairman and CEO of Kennametal Inc. Mr. Cardoso spent more than a decade at Kennametal, the last nine years of which he served as CEO. During his tenure as CEO, Mr. Cardoso more than doubled profitability and returns on invested capital while diversifying the business mix, global reach and end-market exposure. Prior to his time at Kennametal, he held executive roles at Flowserve Corporation and Honeywell Inc.
