DataWind Inc. Expands Distribution Channel By Partnering With HomeShop 18

DataWind Inc. announced an expansion of its Indian retail channel through a new partnership with HomeShop18. The agreement includes the launch of unique sales campaigns across TV Home Shopping, Mobile and Internet which will provide greater access to DataWind's products. The first campaign is scheduled for January 9th, 2015. The new distribution channels support the company's existing retail infrastructure which includes online and direct to consumer channels. DataWind recently partnered with UniverCell and Spice Retail and established its own distribution network in India. HomeShop18's broad TV shopping network will allow DataWind to fill previous distribution gaps.

The company chose to expand its marketing through the online platform as expanding the physical retail chain 'is quite a task and also jacks up the retail price of the products by 35% to 40%.
