James Pepper Henry Leaves Anchorage Museum Association as Director and CEO to Join Heard Museum as Director and CEO, Effective July 5, 2013

James Pepper Henry, the director and CEO of the Anchorage Museum for the past six years, has resigned. He will leave the Anchorage position on July 5, 2013 to assume the post of executive director and CEO of the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Ariz. Pepper Henry took the reins at the Anchorage Museum as the facility was undergoing a major expansion. The Imaginarium Discovery Center moved into the museum and the Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center exhibition of Alaska Native items opened during his tenure.
