Nlyte Software introduced the first data center service management (DCSM) solutions combining data center infrastructure management, robust workflow capabilities and seamless integration into IT service management (ITSM) solutions. Nlyte now enables seamless integration between ITSM systems and physical data center workflows with new DCSM products: Nlyte for BMC ITSM, Nlyte for HP ITSM and Nlyte for ServiceNow ITSM. These products bridge the often-overlooked divide in IT organizations, enabling enterprises to maintain accurate, up-to-the minute information about their IT and data center assets, streamline their processes and improve the measurement of data center operations, thus improving service level agreements (SLAs). Built upon Nlyte's robust connection framework, this new connector enables users of CA Technologies Service Desk Manager to integrate their existing business workflows with the associated workflow required in the data center. This functionality resulted from an enterprise customer that selected Nlyte over CA as their best-of-breed DCIM solution, but wanted to leverage its existing investment in CA Service Desk Manager. The new Nlyte Change Management Connector for CA enables users of both systems to create and update change requests in CA Service Desk Manager. The Nlyte Connector includes support for requester, affected users, creation detail, task priorities and all of the recommended status conditions defined within CA. It complies with CA's documented access mechanisms, and it complies with and enforces the appropriate security policies configured within the CA environment.
