Etherstack plc reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2014. For the period, the company reported revenue from ordinary activities of USD 3,373,000 compared to USD 1,785,000 a year ago. Loss before tax was USD 1,565,000 compared to USD 2,930,000 a year ago. Loss after taxation attributable to the equity holders of the parent was USD 1,539,000 or 4.81 cents per basic and diluted share compared to USD 3,152,000 or 9.86 cents per basic and diluted share a year ago. Net cash flow from operating activities was USD 1,298,000 compared to net cash used in operating activities of USD 19,000 a year ago. The increase in revenue for the half year was driven by higher levels of project activity on the Group's Australian utility project and the Group's first ever orders from the Commonwealth of Australia for tactical communications equipment. As noted previously, the nature of Etherstack business means that revenues for a period can be impacted by the timing of a small number of large transactions.
