Goodwill Industries to Open New Flagship Store

Goodwill Industries to occupy its new retail space and donation center at 1239 W. University Ave. by the end of the month and open for business February 28, 2015. enterprise at Griggs Street and University Avenue. The two-story building spans 22,250 square feet of retail space. Another 5,000 square feet is dedicated to processing donations, and 2,450 square feet of office space is on the second floor. The existing 14,500-square-foot Goodwill shop at 553 N. Fairview Ave. will house a Goodwill Outlet store, opening this spring, and a drive-through donation center. The Goodwill Outlet store at University Avenue and Minnesota 280 will be closed and consolidated with the Fairview Avenue location. The outlet stores receive Goodwill products that have failed to sell at the regular retail locations and market them by the pound or at steep discounts of up to 75% off.
