Japan Airlines, or JAL, has signed an agreement with Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation for the purchase of 32 firm Mitsubishi Regional Jet, or MRJ, aircraft. JAL highly evaluates the performance of the next-generation MRJ aircraft and Mitsubishi Aircraft's proposals for operational support following deliveries. Thus far, 407 MRJ (223 firm, 160 option, 24 purchase rights) are on order, including 32 from JAL. Deliveries to JAL are scheduled to commence in 2021. J-Air Corporation (J-AIR) will operate the 32 MRJ aircraft.
Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation to Relocate Headquarters

Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation announced that it has relocated its headquarters from the current office in Minato-ku, Nagoya-shi, Aichi Prefecture to the terminal building of the Nagoya Airport located in Nishikasugai-gun, Aichi Prefecture, to better prepare for flight tests and mass production scheduled in the near future. The final assembly of the MRJ, as well as its ground tests and flight tests are scheduled to take place at the Nagoya Airport and Komaki South Plant of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ (MHI) Nagoya Aerospace Systems Works adjacent there. The HQ relocation will achieve more efficient business operation. With the relocation, Mitsubishi Aircraft will continue to dedicate its company-wide efforts for further MRJ sales as well as the success of the MRJ program. New Headquarters Address: Nagoya Airport, Toyoyama-cho, Nishikasugai-gun, Aichi 480-0287 Japan. Date of business start is January 5, 2015.
Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation Signs Definitive Agreement with Eastern Air Lines Group, Inc. for the Purchase of Twenty Firm MRJ90 Aircraft

Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with Eastern Air Lines Group Inc. for the purchase of twenty firm MRJ90 aircraft with purchase rights to an additional twenty MRJ90 aircraft. Mitsubishi Aircraft and Eastern signed an MOU in England at the Farnborough International Airshow in July, 2014. Both companies have moved forward to conclude a definitive agreement on September 22, 2014. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2019. Thus far, 335 MRJ (171 firm, 160 option, 4 purchase rights) are on order, including 25 (15 firm, 10 option) from All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd., 100 (50 firm, 50 option) from Trans States Holdings Inc., 200 (100 firm, 100 option) from SkyWest Inc., 10 (6 firm, 4 purchase rights) from Air Mandalay Limited. This order brings the current number of orders for the MRJ to 375 aircraft (191 firm, 160 option, 24 purchase rights). In addition, Mitsubishi Aircraft signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Japan Airlines Co. Ltd. (JAL) to order 32 MRJ aircraft.
