Sorenson Capital announced that it has hired Rob Rueckert, formerly a managing director at Intel Capital, to further expand its existing technology practice within the firm. During Rueckert’s tenure at Intel Capital, he invested in more than 50 companies across multiple technology sectors and geographies. As the managing director for the new devices and wearables group at Intel Capital, Rueckert was responsible for identifying potential investments, with a focus on hiring management teams and assisting in the growth of those companies. In addition, at Intel Capital, Rueckert managed and oversaw more than 20 exits from its portfolio, including Accentify Inc., which was acquired by American Express, and Perceptive Pixel, which was acquired by Microsoft and is now one of its divisions specializing in research, development and production of multi-touch interfaces.
