Texas Hospital Association Names Taylor Coffey as Vice President

Taylor Coffey has been named vice president for Texas Hospital Association. Coffey joins its advocacy and public policy team July 21. Taylor comes to THA from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission where she served as the federal affairs liaison managing the portfolio of federal legislation and regulations affecting the programs, services and functions of the five health and human services agencies in Texas. In her role, she also served as liaison between Congress and the state of Texas for health care policy information. Taylor also worked for State Rep. Myra Crownover (R-Lake Dallas) during the 2003 and 2005 legislative sessions. In her position with THA, Coffey will be based in Washington, D.C. where she will represent THA and its more than 450 member hospitals on federal health care policy issues such as graduate medical education, Medicare reimbursement and quality-based payments and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
