The Colad Group, LLC Key Developments

The Colad Group Introduces Their New UV Flatbed Printer

The Colad Group has introduced the use of a brand-new UV flatbed printer. The high capacity, high quality printer has near-photographic image quality and is capable of printing on virtually any surface. Whether the need is for a fancy new glass case or a plywood crate, the new printer can print on it. And the item doesn't even need to be square or regularly shaped. That's the beauty of a flatbed printer. The printer's flatbed is large enough to accommodate true large-format printing at 49.6 inches by 98.8 inches (or slightly larger than 4 feet by 8 feet) and up to 2 inches thick. This high image quality, previously only seen at resolutions 1,440 dpi or higher, allows for text as small 6 point to be perfectly legible. It also offers a Roll Media Option for printing onto flexible media up to 86.6 inches wide. The printer is powered by Océ VariaDot(TM) imaging technology. The Océ Arizona 550 GT flatbed digital UV press is the highest-quality flatbed printer on the market, pumping out 433 square feet per hour in production print mode, or 721 square feet per hour in express print mode. This allows for keeping up with peak demand and allows Colad to accept rush jobs.
