National Association of Manufacturers Announces Executive Appointments

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) announced new Board of Directors leadership for its more than 14,000-member base representing the millions working in the manufacturing sector. Gregg Sherrill, chairman and CEO of Tenneco Inc., will serve as chair of the NAM Board of Directors, and John F. Lundgren, chairman and CEO of Stanley Black and Decker Inc., will serve as vice chair for a two-year term. In addition, Tom Riordan, president and CEO of AFS Corporate Member Neenah Enterprises Inc., will serve as chair of the Small and Medium Manufacturers (SMM) Group, and Drew Greenblatt, president and owner of Marlin Steel Wire Products LLC, will serve as vice chair. Sherrill, Lundgren, Riordan and Greenblatt have a variety of experience in manufacturing and are respected throughout their workforces and among their colleagues. Sherrill held engineering and manufacturing positions at major U.S. and global manufacturers before becoming chairman and CEO of Tenneco. Similarly, Riordan has more than 30 years of experience in various industrial markets and now leads one of the largest independent metalcasting companies in the U.S. and one of the leading suppliers of castings to the domestic municipal and industrial markets. The NAM's leadership team will advocate policies that will increase jobs in the United States, attract foreign direct investment, ease the regulatory burden, lead the world in innovation, expand access to global markets and ensure manufacturers have access to a skilled, modern workforce.
National Association of Manufacturers Elects James F. Stern to its Board of Directors

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) announced that James F. Stern, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of A.O. Smith Corporation, has been elected to the NAM Board of Directors. Stern will join the NAM Board to advance a robust, pro-growth manufacturing policy agenda. Stern joined A. O. Smith Corporation in 2007 and serves on the senior leadership team of the global water technology company. His responsibilities include management of legal, compliance and government affairs throughout the company's worldwide operations, and he focuses heavily on strategy and corporate development. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Jason Industries Inc.
