Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Introduces New Series of BharatBenz Medium Duty Trucks

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has launched a new series of BharatBenz medium duty trucks. The trucks have been launched in a bid to further strengthen the company's presence in the segment, which has been dominated by Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland. The company has launched BharatBenz medium duty trucks 914R, 1214R, 1214RE and 1217C under its 'MD In-Power' range. The trucks are available in two versions, base and premium. These trucks will be commercially available at BharatBenz dealerships across India. The new BharatBenz range of MDTs is offered in BS-III, BS-IV and also Euro-V ready.

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Starts Selling Mercedes-Benz Luxury Buses in India

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has started selling Mercedes-Benz luxury buses in the Indian market. The company has handed over the introductory set of 'Super High Deck SHD 2436' coaches to a customer in Chennai. The luxury coaches are being produced at the firm's Oragadam plant near Chennai. Made of unique aluminique body. It has 61 pushback seats and 14 cubic meters of luggage space. The couch will set a benchmark in the ultra-luxury travel segment with some outstanding features.

Daimler India Commercial to Open Bus Plant in May 2015

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. is opening a bus plant in May 2015. The company is invest INR 45.5 billion on the facility that covers an area of 113,000 square meters and is situated at Oragadam, near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The plant in located inside Daimler India's existing commercial vehicles facility, and will manufacture Mercedes Benz and Bharatbenz Buses. In the initial stage, 1,500 vehicles will be produced per annum and this can later can be expanded to 4,000 units.
